Comic Relief - Red Nose Day Fundraising
As I'm sure you are all aware, today is Comic Relief and as it's a Friday, I was at work. We like do lots of fundraising at our office so when it came to Comic Relief this year I was really looking forward to doing 'something funny for money'. Previous events have seen us dressing up, shooting goals at the CEO and lots of other random games. Unfortunately for me, it was decided that our team would -between us- cycle and row the distance from London to Paris (the rowing was the water bit - get it!)
As you know my fitness attempts so far have failed miserably so I wasn't exactly excited by the prospect of an hour on an exercise bike and half an hour on a rower. Nevertheless I like to do my bit and so today during my allotted time slots I managed to row 3.5 km and cycle 28.9km for Comic Relief. Between us our team managed to smash the London to Paris mileage and made a total of £452 through donations - that's enough to pay for 3 sight saving operations.
Well done to everyone that's been fundraising today and if you haven't already then you can donate online at the Comic Relief site.
