A very sober New Years Eve

Short and sweet tonight! We're staying home Cava for Chris Shloer for me. This time next year I plan to be drunk already!! Happy New Years Eve everybody!!!

Sick but hungry...

Strange day today - first bout of nausea has hit. Managed to get through the day without actually painting the toilet though. Strangely I have been ravenous between gagging. I'm still hungry now and I've ate most of the food in the house - I better get my £190 government food budget soon - I'm not sure I can earn as fast as I eat!!

Naughty purchase...

I took Mister A to the park to ride his new bike. He is so fast that I could hardly keep up. Then we popped down to my mums so that he could show Grandma and Grandad how fast he could ride. They were very impressed, although I think he's worn them out too - let's hope it has the same affect on him!

Went on a little shopping trip too and I've been very naughty. Ended up with 2 pairs of shoes with giant heels - not sure if I should be walking round on stilts with a baby on board but they were soooo cheap that I couldn't resist - besides I'll still have feet after the baby is born!

Bladder Blues!

Been to the football today with my dad. Thought I'd be safe by having a wee before the match but no - already my bladder has been squashed to the size of a pee. 20 minutes in to the first half, and much to the annoyance of around a hundred blues, I had to exit my seat and push my way through. One good thing did come out of it though - I didn't have to queue for my giant sausage roll!

Anyway we won 2-0 but I wouldn't say we played great - watching us was more painful than labour!

Worn Out!

I woke up today at 1pm - this tiny little baby bean in my tummy is draining me of all of my energy. I don't remember ever being this tired when I was pregnant with Mister A. I don't know whether it's because I'm a few years older now or whether having a toddler means that I'm doing a lot more running around than I was last time - either way I don't know how I'll cope when I go back to work after my Christmas holiday!

And my boobs!! Don't even get me started on them - they feel like they're about to drop off! For those of you experiencing the same thing - worry not - this tenderness is caused by increased oestrogen levels as your boobs start gearing up for future breast feeding. They'll be getting bigger and heavier - something pleasing my fiance a great deal (not that he'll be getting anywhere near them)!! A new bra is a must - when I have the energy to actually go shopping!

So this is my first ever blog and I am pleased to announce that I am 5-6 weeks pregnant with my second child. Chris and I (that's my fiance!) have been "trying" for a couple of months but on Thursday 17th December I did a First Response test and it was positive!!!

We already have an amazing 2 year old, "Mister A", he'll be 3 next month and he's so funny. Unable to contain my excitment I decided to test the water and tell him that "Mummy has a baby in her tummy" His response? "Spit it out mummy...quick!" It's true - kids do say the funniest things!

So i'll keep posting on here as a diary of my pregnancy, for other pregnant mums and for anyone else that wants to read. Enjoy!!
